As Summer Rose Fades
The calming storm's fury,
The eclipsing of the moonlight,
As shining stars dim out,
The stillness of the air all around,
Rippling loudly across the horizon.
Painted dreams- they were,
Now merely broken, empty canvases.
Happiness has drawn her blinds,
Darkness descends...
Sadness awakes....
Like morrow's sure sunrise.
Abundance of abandoned hopes,
Feelings there were.
All now just echoes of my empty heart.
Whither did it all go?
As questioning glances,
Meet unanswered wishes.
As summer's last glory,
wanes....withers,
My heart grows sadder-
Nearer as the days grow.
Boooom-da-booooommm!!
Beats the harbingers drum.
Moonless night creeps in.
